Why Unbridled?

The Story behind it all.

Why Unbridled? Where did our name come from?

A bridle is what you put on a horse to control where it goes. It tells the horse how fast and how far. Take it off, and the horse moves the way it was built to move: on its own, in its own rhythm, exactly as it is. That’s the whole idea behind our name. This is a place where you get to take the bridle off too.

How We Started

Morgan opened Unbridled in 2025 because she kept meeting women who were holding everything together for everyone else and had nowhere to set any of it down. Women who looked like they had it all figured out and were quietly exhausted underneath. She wanted to build a room where that performance could stop, even for fifty minutes.

A year later, Jordan joined her. Jordan had spent years teaching kids with ADHD, autism, and sensory differences, and years before that being told she was too much or not enough. Between the classroom and a season as a foster parent, she’d sat in a lot of rooms watching what actually helped a kid and what just looked good on paper. Joining Unbridled meant bringing that same set-it-down-here space to more people: kids, teens, families, and anyone else who’d been carrying something alone.

Two therapists, two areas of focus, one small practice built around this community. That’s still what we are.

Why We’re Here

So much of life asks you to already have it together. Your job. Your family. Your own to-do list. We wanted one hour where you don’t have to.

We believe in genuineness over polish. We’re here for the people who read our bios and think, “they get me,” not the people looking for a therapist who performs calm, neutral wisdom from across the room. We’re humans who struggle with human things too, and we think that makes us better at this, not worse.

Why Choose Us

We’re not generalists trying to be everything to everyone. Morgan works with women navigating big life shifts (divorce, grief, caring for aging parents, the identity questions that show up when the thing that used to define you is gone). Jordan works with kids five and up, teens, and adults, with a particular focus on neurodivergent clients and their families, plus religious trauma work for anyone untangling beliefs or communities that don’t fit anymore.

We blend real clinical training with an approach that never feels like it’s reading off a textbook, because it isn’t.

We’re in Mooresville, and we’re proud of it. In person at our Main Street office or virtual anywhere in North Carolina, this is a practice built around this specific community.
