Therapy for Taylorsville and Alexander County

Layered North Carolina mountain ridges at sunset

Online sessions from home in Taylorsville, Hiddenite, Stony Point, and Bethlehem, or in person in Mooresville (about 35 minutes away).

Alexander County is a wonderful place to live, but it’s not an easy place to find a therapist. There are about 940 residents for every mental health provider here, more than three times the North Carolina average. We’d love to be one of the people you can call.

We offer therapy for kids (ages 5 and up), teens, and adults. You can meet with us by secure video from anywhere in Alexander County (or anywhere in North Carolina), or make the drive down NC 90 and NC 150 to our Mooresville office.

What we help with

  • Anxiety, stress, and burnout

  • ADHD and autism, including kids, teens, and adults who were missed earlier on

  • Perfectionism and people-pleasing

  • Divorce and life transitions

  • Religious trauma

  • Performance pressure for students, athletes, and high achievers

  • Child and teen counseling, with support for parents along the way

  • Depression, trauma, and much more (just ask if you don’t see your concern listed)

Insurance we take

We’re in network with Blue Cross NC, Aetna, and MedCost. That includes the NC State Health Plan, which covers most Alexander County Schools staff and county employees. We also offer private pay, superbills, and reduced-rate spots.

Getting started

Reaching out is often the hardest part, so we try to make it simple. Book a free consultation call, tell us a bit about what’s going on, and we’ll figure out next steps together.

Common questions

Is online therapy as effective as in-person?

For most concerns, research shows it works just as well. The relationship with your therapist matters far more than the setting.

Do I have to be in North Carolina?

Yes. Because our therapists are licensed in North Carolina, you need to be physically located in NC during each session.

Does insurance cover online sessions?

In most cases, yes. We’re in-network with BCBSNC, Aetna, and MedCost, which generally cover telehealth the same way as in-person visits.

Can I switch between online and in-person?

Absolutely. Plenty of our clients do a mix, depending on their week.
